The Hangman is a moveable hydraulic unit designed to lift and turn through 90º rolls of material up to 500kg. The unit is suitable for use in the business forms, packaging and label industries.

The Hangman is designed to operate from a crane or a post and jib. All operations are controlled with a hand held push button control unit. It has been designed as the ultimate in heavy duty equipment for reel handling.
When the roll has been lifted from a pallet it may be swung from either a vertical to a horizontal position or vice versa.
The Hangman is suspended from an electric chain hoist, being part of a crane (either post crane, turning crane or transverse crane). |

The transverse movement along the jib can be operated manually or electrically with a motorised runner. The electrical unit is situated in a convenient position and connected by cable to the Hangman unit. All the hydraulics are inside the Hangman unit.
The Hangman can be positioned so that the expanding mandrel will enter the core of the roll. By operating the hand held unit, the mandrel expands and the external clamp is activated to clamp the outside of the roll.
